With a vision to create an educational environment that engages deep intellectual, moral and spiritual stimulation, thereby nurturing leadership, Shri Vaishnav Vidyapeeth Vishwavidyalaya, a private state University, was established under Madhya Pradesh Niji Vishwavidyalaya Adhiniyam in the year 2015 at Indore. The university aims to be a leader in shaping a better future for mankind through quality education, training and research. It leads the education sector by making a difference in sustaining the growth of global societies by developing socially responsible citizens. The university setup the Institute of Architecture in the very first year of its existence. Two batches of B.Arch are already studying in the university.

To take education to the next level, the university has signed Memorandum of Understanding for academic as well as technical collaboration with IBM; Hanyang University, Seoul, South, Korea; St. Cloud State University, Minnesota, USA; National Research and Development Corporation (NRDC), New Delhi and Red Hat India, among many others.

Redefining Education with Innovative Programs and Major Objectives

Shri Vaishnav Vidyapeeth Vishwavidyala offers 73+ programs at Undergraduate, Postgraduate, Dual Degree, Diploma and Doctoral levels. In the field of Architectural education, the University is a renowned name. Built on an area of 51.5 acres, the University is established on 23 years old campus with well-equipped state-of-the-art classrooms, seminar halls, drawing halls, libraries, computer labs, workshop areas, playgrounds, sports complex, auditorium, cafeteria and many more. The campus is well connected with the three major cities of Madhya Pradesh, namely, Indore, Ujjain and Dewas.

Offers Financial Support to the Meritorious and Needy Students

The University extends financial help to the economically weaker students through its sponsoring body, Shri Vaishnav Vidyapeeth Trust. It even guides students to earn scholarship schemes of the State Government. It helps students with financial support based on merit, and often waives off the tuition fee to certain extent, depending on the situation.

Leading Personality behind this Innovative Institute

Dr. Upinder Dhar is Vice Chancellor of Shri Vaishnav Vidyapeeth Vishwavidyalaya (Indore). Earlier, he was Group Additional Vice Chancellor and Pro-Vice Chancellor – Academics, Amity University Uttar Pradesh (Noida); Founder Vice Chancellor of JK Lakshmipat University (Jaipur); Director – Institute of Management, Dean – Faculty of Management, and Dean – Faculty of Doctoral Studies and Research, Nirma University (Ahmedabad); Director – Prestige Institute of Management and Research (Indore); President – Prestige Group of Educational Institutions (Indore); Professor of Management at NITIE (Mumbai); and Reader at IMS-DAVV (Indore). He has conducted management and faculty development programs for the executives of major business houses and faculty members of academic institutions respectively. He has also been Guest Faculty at IIM Calcutta, IIM Indore and IIT Roorkee. Besides undertaking consultancy assignments, he has authored/co-authored more than 600 publications. Thirty Four (34) scholars have been awarded Ph.D. degree under his supervision by various universities.

Dr. Dhar was awarded National Fellowship by Indian Society for Training and Development in 2002-03. He has been on the Panel of Reviewers of number of journals, such as International Journal of Training and Development, Human Resources International, Journal of Global Business and Technology, and South Asian Journal of Management. He has also been on the Panel of Experts maintained by the NBA (Bangalore); ICSSR (New Delhi); and SAQS (Hyderabad). He has been President of Anthropological and Behavioural Sciences Section of the Indian Science Congress Association (2007-08), Indian Society for Training and Development (2008-09) and Association of Indian Management Schools (2014-15). He has also been Member of the Council of Management of AIMA, Member of ATMA, All India Board of Management Studies of AICTE, Rajasthan State Productivity Council, Governing Board of DELNET, and Member of the Executive Board of AMDISA.
