Eligibility Criteria For RTE Admission Prosses 

Age Criteria  Children aged 6 to 14 years are eligible for admission under the RTE Act.

Residential Requirement    The child must reside within the neighborhood or locality of the school offering RTE quota seats.

Income Limit    Income limits are usually set to ensure that the benefits reach economically weaker sections and disadvantaged groups.

Disadvantaged Groups    Children belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), and Other Backward Classes (OBC) are eligible.

Economically Weaker Sections    Families falling under the EWS category, as defined by the state government, are eligible for RTE admissions.

Proof of Age  A birth certificate or any government-recognized document showing the child's age is required 

Proof of Residence     Documents such as a ration card, voter ID, utility bills, or a rent agreement can serve as proof of residence.

Income Certificate    An income certificate issued by a competent authority (such as a Tehsildar or District Magistrate) is required to prove eligibility under the EWS category.

Caste Certificate    For children from SC/ST/OBC backgrounds, a valid caste certificate is necessary.
