A Global Drop in Students Enrollment in USA, due to COVID-19

In 2020-21, a pandemic year, American Universities saw a total 15% drop in Global Students Enrollment. At 9,14,095, almost 70K or 60,831 lesser number of international students were there in universities across the USA. It is the lowest number since 2014-15, when 9,74,926 global students were studying in USA. This statistic was released by this year’s ‘Open Doors Report’ on 15th Nov.

The report included students studying on campus across various states of America as well as all those students from the USA and abroad, who were attending online classes because of the pandemic restrictions. Out of these students, a whopping 53 per cent students were from China and India combined.
