ALL INDIA SHRI SHIVAJI MEMORIAL SOCIETY’S Institute of Information Technology organised its annual 4 day cultural tech fest from 18th to 21st February- ALACRITY 2020
ALACRITY

‘ALACRITY’ which literally means enthusiasm is the culmination of cultural, technical, sports and social events. ALACRITY is an event of the students, for students and by the students. To mark the value of the efforts of engineers in the society ‘Reward of Being of an Engineer’ was adapted as the tag line. The event consisted of more than 70 plus events altogether from cultural, technical, sports and social domain. Shri Malojiraje Chhatrapati Hon Secretary AISSMS encouraged and congratulated the students for organizing the event.

The event was successfully conducted over the period of 4 days. The event concluded with the valedictory ceremony which was conducted on the eve of 21st February. The valedictory ceremony was graced by the presence of Marathi Film industry fame Manasi Naik. The event was conducted in the presence of Hon. Joint Secretary of AISSMS Shri Suresh Pratap Shinde, Treasurer Shri Ajay Uttamrao Patil, Chairman Managing Committee Shri Bhagwanrao Salunkhe and Member of Managing Committee Shri Nikhil Ashok Khanse and Shri Rahul Yadav.

The President of the Student Council Mr. Aditya Saraiya gave an overview of all college activities conducted in the academic year2019-20. Later the Prinicpal of the Institute Dr. P. B. Mane delivered the annual report of AISSMS Institute of Information Technology. The event then witnessed the prize distribution ceremony where the department toppers and university rankers were felicitated.  Later the General Secretary of the Student Council Mr. Mayur Dokras gave the vote of thanks, after which the cultural programme of the Annual Social Gathering kicked off.

This year the prime attraction of the Cultural Programme was musical skit. Each department presented musical skit on various themes such as Vision 2020, Women Empowerment, Placement Drama, Old versus New & College Life. The ideas were hugely lauded by Manasi Naik and also congratulated the college management for the methodology used to groom the students. She was also prompt to interact with the students during the ceremony. She made it a point to guide the students during this interaction. The ceremony finally concluded with the performance from the Best Department award winners, Department of Electronics and Telecommunication Department.
