The two major programs offered by the institute are: Master of Travel and Tourism Management (MTTM) and Bachelor of Arts (Tourism Administration).

These programs are designed such that students receive both, theoretical knowledge and industry experience. The programs have a range of courses which include Travel Agency & Tour Operation Management, Destination Planning & Development. It also comprises of Airline Operation Management through Sustainable Tourism, Niche Tourism to Conference and Event Management and Marketing Management.

Ever Growing Opportunities

Students at AITT receive immense industry exposure through the summer internship provided at reputed travel and tourism companies. These opportunities are provided while the student is enrolled for the course and after the course as well. All students receive equal opportunities to earn multiple industry certifications. They participate as volunteers in travel marts like SATTE & OTM & travel-specific events hosted by FICCI association, ICPB & CII.

With such qualifications, tourism graduates from AITT usually start their career as a management trainee or an operations trainee. After successful completion of the training period, one starts moving up the ladder.

With the passage of time and acquisition of experience, students explore different operational areas like inbound tours, outbound tours, incentive tours and exhibition space selling. Some may also get exposure in medical & wellness tours division and adventure tour operations.

After a period of 2-3years, students with a proven track record in good travel organizations start heading sub-units at different geographical locations.

Further Expansion of Knowledge

According to the UN World Tourism Organization Tourism highlights (2018), the Asia Pacific region showed a growth of 6% where around 323 million foreign tourist arrival was recorded. Asia Pacific tourism holds a contribution of USD 390 billion out of USD 1.3 trillion.

Furthermore, tourism in India contributes 9.6% to GDP. According to the Ministry of Tourism, India, FEE from tourism from January to October 2018, registered a growth of almost 12%. With nearly 8% of total employment opportunities, tourism in India becomes a huge source of employment. According to IBEF, in the year 2017, Tourism provided employment to around 41.6 million people.

The institute aims to be among the top 10 institutions across the globe and #1 in South East Asia by 2025. AITT is also trying to establish a link between industry and academia. Through various research projects, AITT wants to benefit the students in the form of internships and hands-on training.
