(ICFAI conducts interactive webinar session on “People Performance Consulting”)
“People performance consulting has a wider scope which analyses minute aspects of employee performance “ said Mr T Muralidharan, Founder and Chairman, TMI Group at the 33rd Webinar conducted on December 3rd, 2021 on the topic “People Performance Consulting”. The Webinar is a part of the ICFAI’s WiseViews Interactive Webinar Series conducted on every Friday at 7.30 pm.
Mr. Muralidharan detailed the data led process involved in measuring and disaggregating employee productivity. He explained about the trends and myths surrounding this area. Mr. Muralidharan stated ”There are 4 major trends that affect the world of work. The automation in the companies is the first one where employees need to be aptly trained to adapt themselves. Second one is the work from home concept where a study says that employees are more comfortable at home than in office and it is disrupting the connect between the employer and the employee. Third one is the gig working which result in the reduction of the tenure of the employee in the organization. Lastly, the present day employees or the younger generation are not loyal to the company and they are not obeying their boss.”
Mr. Muralidharan further, advocated the introduction of the calendar system for the employees where they have to notify their daily plan and what needs to be done for the better performance. The TMI has a 7 step process to track the people performance, he added.
Answering to a query in the Q & A session, Mr. Muralidharan said that the general tendency is that employees do not like to get monitored on a continuous basis. They look for trust and freedom, he opined.
