About 2.4 lakh students who have been studying at various private schools have applied for admissions in Delhi government schools. The admission of around 1.6 lakh has been completed. According to the principals of government schools, there is a big rise in the admission of class 9 and 11 students.

For non-plan admissions, there will be two cycles of admission season this year. Delhi government allowed students from private schools even without a transfer certificate. Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal also tweeted about it saying this is happening for the first time in India.
