Ever wondered why humans are attracted to good design? Maybe it’s the eye-pleasing visuals or the ease of use that humans are drawn towards. As rightfully said by Designer and Author Robert L. Peters, “Design creates culture. Culture shapes values. Values determine the future,” this quote truly describes the significance of design in human life. Designers have the ability to solve complex issues through simple yet innovative means. These are the designers whose intelligence is invisible to the masses.
Further speculating, ever wondered how these masterminds are nurtured? Such skilled artists are sculptured in prestigious institutions such as Design Media & Edutainment School (DMES). The school was set up in 2016 with the sole vision of providing holistic knowledge and education to students and professionals who aspire to create a mark in the design field. It emphasizes on practical learning approach, which inculcates the production practices currently being practiced in the industry. Further, the focus is on promoting experiential learning and exposure development for students so that it can render them industry-ready.
The Rise of DMES
Joint efforts of Sathish Narayanan and Ms. Sridevi Sathish led to the formation of DMES. Rotoscoping the Future
In the future, DMES plans to collaborate with colleges and universities in order to enhance and encourage skills training programs. With the support of the Media & Entertainment Training Council and the National Skills Development Council, the school wants to set up skill-specific courses to help students attain the training and knowledge that will make them industry-ready. The institute expects to be aligned with more colleges and skills experts, not only from India but from around the world, to help students acquire expertise and experience in the field that they are about to pursue.
