In case of Omicron spread, UK Schools are ready to shift online from next term

In the wake of growing threat from Covid variant Omicron, school in UK said that they are ready to move their courses online in case more students opt to stay at home in the next term, post-Christmas.

Though Government has reiterated its commitment to keep schools open in January, the schools’ authorities are asking some students to take their laptops along with them to home. While many have already moved their classes online. The schools have been advised to follow current guidelines to reopen in the next term, while staff in Wales will have two additional days just in case of additional measures. Schools too, are preparing themselves for number of scenarios including remote teaching-learning or teaching in ‘bubbles’ with alternated start and finish.
