India has stepped into one significant leap of advancing the usage of Artificial Intelligence with the establishment of an AI University in the Maharashtra state. Its state government was the first move by establishing a dedicated task force under the industries’ leading officers and the boards of key technologies such as that of Tech Mahindra.
Maharashtra will soon make an attempt at India’s first foundational stages for the campus of the AI University. The move has been declared by the State IT Minister, Ashish Shelar. In this initiative, it has set up an all-around task force including academics, people from the industries, and also people from the government. This is working all-round to build this.
Some of the leading institute representatives have also been engaged by the project; they would be IIT Mumbai and IIM Mumbai besides Google India, Mahindra Group, and L&T among others. This task force shall also be accompanied by experts coming from the Department of Electronics and IT, RGSTC along with representatives of Data Security Council of India.
IT Minister Ashish Shelar, in the press meet said that the AI university would be an excellence institution where all the industry, academia, and the government come together. He added that this project will not only make Maharashtra at the top of the world in terms of AI but also do a lot to propel India towards technological growth.
She further said that the task force has had two meetings so far and is finalizing the roadmap for setting up the university. This is a matter of fact, that the government is committing itself to this venture shows that Maharashtra wants to lead the pack of technology and innovation.
In an age when the AI wave is transforming the ways of industries at such a speed, this move by Maharashtra perfectly falls in the same wave globally. Already, many countries-the US, UK, France, and China, among others-have put AI universities on their priority list, thereby assuring the world that AI education is the door to the new world.
The country’s path to education and technology is determined by the opening of the first AI university in India, making sure it continues to be in the forefront of innovation and research on AI.
