KLE Institute of Physiotherapy: A constituent unit of KAHER deemed to be University
KLEU Institute of Physiotherapy

A report released by WHO in the year 2018 stated that more than 1.5 billion people globally are estimated to live with a disability. The report further states that this occurrence increases in order from poor countries to high-income countries. Such patients have the potential to benefit from physiotherapy services. However, there is a major misconception that general physiotherapy is all about massage, exercise, treating elite athletes, or those who are recovering from an injury.

Physiotherapists manage the task of maintaining, promoting, and restoring the overall health and fitness of growing segments of the population, ranging from conditions such as back pain to heart disease, fractures and amputations, arthritis to paraplegia, cervical spondylosis to frozen shoulder, head injury, and stroke.

Physiotherapists have a unique and expanding role to play in global health work/care. The modern health care system demands collaboration among health workers from different professional backgrounds, to ensure holistic and patient-centric care. Physiotherapists offer comprehensive services by working along with patients, their families, carers and communities, to deliver the highest quality of care across settings, making them the key members of collaborative inter-professional teams.

Understanding the same, KLE Institute of Physiotherapy ensures that aspiring physiotherapists possess skills, knowledge, and qualities to do ethical and effective global health work. The Institute today provides excellent physiotherapy human resources to the nation and the world.

The Brand Image of KLE Institute of Physiotherapy Society
KLE Institute of Physiotherapy is one of the pioneering institutes in the field of physiotherapy under KLE Academy of Higher Education and Research (KAHER), located in Belagavi, Karnataka, administering physiotherapy education since 1994. The Dedicated Educators

Talent drives any organization towards success, however; it is the efforts of a visionary when combined with talent that leads an organization to continuous glory. KLE society’s Chairman and Chancellor of KAHER, Dr. Prabhakar B. Kore is the formidable force behind this Institution’s continuous success. He has installed and implemented a lot of ideas into the society as a whole, in which KAHER and its constituent units are a tip of the iceberg. He has been the Chairman of KLE society for the last 34 years and under his guidance, the society has successfully been running about 262 Institutions. Aiding Dr. Kore in his mission of upholding the Institute’s educational value is Dr. Sanjiv Kumar, Principal and Head of the Institution.
