“Research is the reconnaissance party of industry, roving the unknown territories ahead independently, yet not without purpose, seeing for the first time what all the following world will see a few years hence.”– S. M. Kinter

In tertiary education, providing the opportunities for research and development to the students is highly significant. The benefits of research go way beyond just having an impressive degree certificate. It develops in them important abilities like effective analytical skills, critical thinking, and so on. Without research, the students of today will lose the ability to envision a better tomorrow.

An institution that concentrates on developing research skills in its students to yield benefits to the common man and society at large and to improve the living standards is Nitte Meenakshi Institute of Technology (NMIT).To aid the same, it has six Centers of Excellence in the fields of Robotics; Nano Materials & MEMS; Small Satellites Research; Computational Fluid Dynamics; Design Engineering and Process Simulation; Aerospace Engineering & IoT; attracting young research talents from all over the country.

Incepted in the year 2001, NMIT is under the aegis of Nitte Education Trust, Mangalore. It is located in a sprawling area of 23-acre in the calm sylvan environs of Yelahanka, Bangalore.
