Ontario Centre of Innovation opens new office in Kingston

The Ontario Centre of Innovation (OCI) has expanded its presence by opening an office in Kingston, aiming to improve accessibility and raise its profile. With a track record of more than three decades in the province and the region, OCI assists small and medium-sized business entrepreneurs and researchers in scaling up their endeavors towards commercialization.

The organization serves as a conduit, helping these individuals and teams access government funding programs, attract private investors, and even providing their own non-dilutive grant programs.

OCI has been actively involved in supporting partnerships and initiatives such as Loyalist College’s research in natural products and medical cannabis, as well as Fire Reign, a company that has developed a non-toxic fire suppressant.

By collaborating closely with the Kingston Economic Development Corporation (KEDCO), OCI and KEDCO aim to provide comprehensive support and services to entrepreneurs in the region.
