SISTec Electrical Engineering Department Conducts Faculty Development Programme

Bhopal, July 16, 2019: Sagar Institute of Science and Technology (SISTec Ratibad) Department of Electrical Engineering conducted faculty development programme at its Ratibad campus. The three-day programme focused on “Applications of Soft Computing Techniques to Renewable Energy Systems.” The programme was sponsored by Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya (RGPV) under TEQIP-III.

The faculty development programme began with welcome of the Chief Guest Dr S.C. Choube, TEQIP Co-ordinator RGPV by the Principal SISTec Ratibad Dr. Jyoti Deshmukh & HOD Prof. Ashish Singhal followed by lighting of lamp in presence of eminent speakers, faculties across the state from various engineering colleges participated. Dr. S. C. Choube in his address laid stress on idea generation and explained on utility of soft computational techniques as the fusion of methodologies designed to model with solutions to real world problems. He ideated the aim to exploit the tolerance for imprecision, uncertainty, approximate reasoning and partial truth in order to achieve tractability, robustness and low-cost solutions with guiding principle to devise methods to operate just like human mind. Dr. Jyoti Deshmukh in her address emphasized the need of training and development to strengthen technical knowledge and enhanced skill capability to cater needs of budding technocrats. Dr. Rajesh Kumar – Professor, HOD, M.N.I.T Jaipur, Postdoc from NUS Singapore, Dr. Aakash Saxena – Professor, Head, SKIT, Jaipur, Dr. M. Rizwan, Postdoc Virginia Tech-USA and Prof. Vijay Kumar Tewari – Asst. Prof. Rajkiye Engineering College, Kannauj enlightened the faculties on various principles and applications in existing context and focused on forthcoming areas where it can be used as solutions. Shri Siddharth Sudhir Agrawal, Managing Director, Sagar Group, said that, “We thank Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidalaya for sponsoring the training programme on Applications of Soft Computing Techniques to Renewable Energy Systems at SISTec. Our training programmes are aimed at skill enhancement with knowledge sharing. We will continue our efforts to provide quality education with our training programmes.”
