Skyy Rider Institutions: Inciting Innovation within the Young Minds of India

To address this problem, and minimize the gap between reality and requirements, Skyy Rider Institutions (SRI), a training and development center was established. The training center primarily focuses on developing the skills of engineering students through industry oriented practical training programs.

Contemporary Architecture

SRI has three branches, one in Jatani, Bhubaneswar, Odisha (HO) 2nd one in Nayapalli, Bhubaneswar and recently we have started our new branch at Hyderabad. Spanning an area of 60 acres, SRI is endowed with training labs of notable companies such as Tata Motors, Mahindra, Yamaha, Ashok Leyland, Eicher, Hyundai, Bosch, etc. The institution’s automotive lab is equipped with over 10,000 automotive components, cross-section of cars, bikes, and trucks delivering a practical exposure to its students. Not only that, the campus comprises of digital classrooms, hostel facilities, gyms, a swimming pool, food courts, sports complex, and much more.

This all-around infrastructure encourages students to experiment and get a hands-on practice while leveraging the latest technology. In these labs, students get a comprehensive view of the industry. From expert advice to real-time learning, SRI grooms its students for a wholesome growth.

The Visionaries with Zealousness

These personalities are passionate about their work and make extra efforts that can transform the paths of the next generations. We at the Knowledge take it as an honor to introduce you to Mr. Himansu Sekhar Panda (CEO) and Mr. Nihar Ranjan Panda (COO), who with their expertise and vision had decided to fill the industry gap of skilled employees with their state-of-the-art training programs.

A teacher by heart and a visionary from soul, Mr Himanshu is leading the Skyy Rider towards success. He has pursued his B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering from Centurion University of Technology and Management and completed his graduation in Automotive Engineering & Technology from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani. He has also served as Senior Engineer at Triveni Turbine Limited but his ambition of seeing India as the hub of skilled manpower led him to open Skyy Rider Institutions. He wanted to create an empowering environment for students through his discernment about the industry scenario and thus created an institution that serves the purpose at its fullest.

Mr Nihar, an automobile enthusiast from the beginning, took his passion to the next level by instigating a skill-oriented training center with his friend Mr. Himansu. After completing his B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering from Centurion University of Technology and Management, he left his job as a Production Engineer in John Deere Company to follow the novel cause of up-skilling engineering graduates across India. Mr Nihar has been a jury during Technical Automobile Expert Skill Odisha, 2019. He has also been bestowed with Pride of Odisha in Make in Odisha conclave for his immense contribution to uplift the young of the state.

The Core of SRI

To reach out and provide benefits to maximum students, SRI conducts a range of short-term and long-term vocational, summer, and winter training in an array of technical niches. Some notable areas are Industrial Robotics & IoT, Aerospace, Augmented and Virtual Reality, Advanced Automotive, IT/CS courses and so on. In addition, tutors of SRI provide short-term (3-5 days) practical (skill-based) workshops on all fields of engineering.

Among all the vocational courses provided by SRI, the most in-demand industrial program with 100% placement is the Post-Graduation and Diploma Course (PGDC) on Automotive designing and manufacturing. The latest industrial development is directly implemented in the program with 100% practical exposure. The course is versatile and provides career opportunities to a student – Core sector job, higher study in abroad or universities or to start their start-up.

SRI in association with Gram Tarang, National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) & Mini Tool Room Training Center hosts the exclusive 8 months of practical training on Automobile designing and manufacturing every year. The training partners in this program include notable companies such as Ashok Leyland, Yamaha, Mahindra, Hyundai, BEML, Eicher, and Volvo.

Profile building and certification is one of the institute’s premium programs for higher education aspirants. This program helps the student develop a portfolio, ace the exams and receive support for the application process.

SRI has developed a unique concept of knowledge sharing, known as Knowledge on Wheels (KNOW). It brings the advanced technical know-how to those with the least access to facilities. This notion intends to coach students in remote regions of the country and be up-skilled in their pursuits.

Exposure at Its Best

Being a skill training institute for engineering students, SRI ensures each of its students gets access to well-designed, industry-oriented, and updated curriculums. The training module consists of 80% practical (hands-on) training alongside with a theoretical approach that further ignites their innovative minds. It attracts hundreds of students from IIT, NIT, BITS, IIIT and other renowned institutes to enhance their skills. It bases the courses on current and future Industrial requirements preparing them to be industry-fit.

SRI conducts 6-8 months of long-term training for unemployed, unskilled graduates. The institute has a staggering record of placing 96% of students in various core industries after completion of their training. It also organizes a skill summit where HRs, college faculties, industry professionals, and students are invited for meaningful interactions on a single platform.

  3. Techno-Skill Workshops: SRI provides short-term (3-5 days) practical (skill-based) workshops on all the fields of engineering according to the demand and convenience of the students.

Constructing the Roadmap

SRI’s dream is to uphold the image of India as the hub of skilled manpower. Hence, it is planning to widen up its space from engineering to other diverse sectors. The institute is also planning to make all the training modules online. SRI is ceaselessly striving in its pursuit to create an empowering environment for its students and emerge as the home for skillful engineers who will make the world a much better place to live.
