American school going children must get ready for tests, not school tests, but rapid COVID-19 tests, as many States like California and New York from US are sending millions of COVID-19 rapid antigen test-kits to schools and families prior to the January 2022 reopening.

While other states like Washington and Baltimore are planning to extend their winter holidays by two days to accommodate staff and students testing before the reopening.

And hard-hit neighborhoods in Chicago are receiving FedEx drop-boxes packed with some 150,000 free test-kits. This is to combat the third coronavirus wave amidst the more dangerous omicron threat looming over everyone, districts are ramping up the COVID-19 testing before classes resumes next year.
