Set up in the year 1997 by Prestige Education Society, Indore PIMG is registered under the Societies Registration Act of 1860. Today, the institute has grown to be recognized as a premier institute for higher learning and a major learning center in Central India.
The institute has approval of All Indian Council of Technical Education (AICTE), Bar Council of India (BCI) & the state government. The institute has been recognized under section 2 (f) & 2 (b) of the UGC ACT, 1956. It is affiliated to Jiwaji University, Gwalior and also acts as the university’s research center.

PIMG, with a long history of excellence, has developed integrated courses under its Department of Law. These courses are: Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Laws (B.A.LL.B. (Hons)), which aims at fostering a culture of scholarship and academic excellence amongst the students; Bachelor of Business Administration, Bachelor of Laws (BBA LL.B (Hons)), committed to foster experts in Business Legislations and the current needs of industry; and Bachelor of Commerce, Bachelor of Laws (B.Com. LL.B (Hons)), which upbrings students in Commercial Legislations, Accounts and Audits for Practice in Taxation and Commercial Laws.

An institute that is committed to develop socially responsible global leaders, requires a personality who is passionate about its vision. Dr. SS Bhakar, the Director of PIMG is that erudite leader who is leading the institution towards excellence since taking over in 2003.
Dr. Bhakar completed his PhD. in Management from Devi Ahilya University, Indore on the topic “A Comparative Study of Material Handling Systems in Automobile Industry.”; Post Graduation in Management (M.B.A – Operations Management from IGNOU, New Delhi; Masters in Computer Science from Indo-German Cultural Society, Mumbai and Graduation in Engineering (B.E.- Electronics and Telecommunications, AMIETE) from IETE, New Delhi. He has undergone six month’s training on missile technology at British Aerospace.
He has been extensively involved in various Research activities including supervising PhD Scholars. Dr. Bhakar is presently working on research projects in the area of Supply Chain Management, Forecasting, Quality Control, Productivity and Value addition in Retailing. He has published twenty-nine edited books as sole editor or as the first author among the editorial team.
During his tenure as Director of PIMG, Dr. Bhakar has successfully organized Eleven International conferences, Thirteen National Seminar & Six national conferences as Conference Chairman, Seventeen Case Writing Workshops as main resource person and supervisor/editor, and Twelve National Research Methodology Workshops as Main resource person.
Breaking the Tradition
To develop lawyers who can withstand the challenges of the 21st century, PIMG provides its students internships with reputed Law firms in Gwalior and the state. It also conducts Moot Court every fortnight which focuses on Intra – Moot and Inter – Moot State & National competitions. The institute constantly updates its curriculum with case reports and online legal search engines like SCC Online, AIR & Manupatra, Hien online.
Every month EML is conducted by eminent Law Professionals like retired Judges of Supreme Court/High Court/Senior Advocates. The institute also has Student Exchange Programs in collaboration with SIAM University, Thailand and Latin University, Argentina for global exposure. Along with these, regular visits in District courts, High courts and Supreme court of India ensure that students are aware about the various scenarios of legal industry.

The Department of Law of PIMG has done exceptionally well in achieving the goals and procuring new benchmarks. It has organized Two National Law Seminars, Two National Research Methodology Workshops, Two National Case Writing Workshops in the past two years having dignitaries and participants from legal institutions of national repute.
The Department has been facilitated with awards of national repute and Legal Clinic of Department of Law. PIMG has been selected for regional consultation of Legal Clinics sponsored by the National Legal Services Authority, New Delhi. Also, it has signed MOUs with various Government and Private Organizations for Legal and technical assistance.
