DiST is managed by De Paul Education Trust, the educational arm of Vincentian Congregation, a Catholic religious community. It derives its title and inspiration from St Vincent de Paul, the patron of the Vincentian Congregation who moves the hearts of its members to commit themselves to educational/ charitable/ spiritual activities that would help the advancement of the society, especially the marginalized sections. The vision of DiST itself is to mould outstanding young professionals’ in significant and competitive fields.
DiST’s School of Media & Communication
Commenced in 2011, the school aims at media education which never compromises on human values and social concerns and brings out the complete potential of aspiring learners. The school offers two PG programmes- MA in Multimedia and MA JMC – MA in Journalism & Mass Communication and two UG programmes- BA in Multimedia and BA Animation & Visual Effects.
These programmes train and educate students to accomplish higher competence in various avenues of Media scenario. The school pays keen attention to promote every attempt which helps the students obtain exceptionally honed technical traits. It has made sustainable efforts to brighten its international perspective through the number of collaborations and student and faculty exchange programmes with international universities.
The programmes MA JMC – MA in Journalism & Mass Communication and MA Multimedia offer numerous opportunities to the students so that they can lead their life to very secure and most beneficial domains. The media lab which owns the facilities of voice recording, mixing, dubbing and many other coveted modern technologies is of great help for the students to complete their production and post-production work.
