Adikavi Nannaya University To Launch Distance Education Courses Soon

Prof. Mokka Jagannadha Rao, Vice-Chancellor of Adikavi Nannaya University (AKNU), stated on Tuesday that the university would soon establish a ‘School of Distance Education to provide distance education in the Godavari region and seek self-sustainability.

Prof. Jagannadha Rao, speaking to the media today, said distance education would be in high demand in the Godavari region, with the potential to earn almost ten crore rupees per year. In the region, the university has 400 connected degree colleges.

The University Grants Commission has approved the formation of a cluster of academic institutions for joint research and academic exchange, as well as improved utilization of the individual institutions’ infrastructure facilities.

“We have submitted our self-study report to the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). The school of distance education will become functional immediately after the NAAC inspection,” he said. The inspection is likely to be done before June.
