All India Shri Shivaji Memorial Society’s College of Engineering (AISSMS COE) was established in 1992, under the co-education system. The college is accredited by NAAC with an “A+” grade. The College is affiliated to Savitribai Phule Pune University. At present, courses are conducted in eight branches of engineering namely Chemical, Civil, Computer, Electrical, E&TC, Mechanical, Mechanical Sandwich, and Production Sandwich leading to the award of a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering. The total intake capacity of the College for a bachelor’s course is 660 students per year. The Post Graduate courses for six branches of Master of Engineering (ME) viz. Automotive and Design, Chemical, Computer, Power Electronics and Drives, VLSI and Embedded System, Structural Engg. are also being conducted by the college. The total intake capacity of the postgraduate course is 126. The College has highly qualified and experienced faculty on its role. The College has well-developed laboratories, computer and library facilities in all its departments and a central library and central computing facility. Our Society and College has always encouraged students to showcase their Technical, Cultural and Sports events. It has been our endeavor to encourage the student’s overall development.

As a part of our continuous efforts in that direction, we organize an annual event “AISSMS COE Ashwamedh”, at our educational complex in Pune. The college students from all over the state are invited to exhibit their talents by participating in various competitions, viz. DJ War, Sur Sargam, Hit the Floor, Poetry, Pen it down, Street play, PUBG, 5-A-Side Football, Kabbadi, Chess, Table tennis, Basket Ball, Box Cricket, etc. This time the “ASHWAMEDH” has been scheduled on the 10^th and 11^th of February 2020. The event has successfully attracted almost 2000 students from various institutes. An event as such not only shapes up the overall development of the students but also inculcates values such as sportsmanship. Along with academics, every student should involve in extra curriculum activities, which boosts their confidence and shapes their personality.
