CAMBRIDGE UNIVERSITY PROPELS NEW PRE-DEGREE FOUNDATION COURSE ENTIRELY FREE
CAMBRIDGE-UNIVERSITY

On Monday, 25th April, the University of Cambridge launched a pre-degree foundation course to facilitate access to applications coming from students from a more diverse and large extent in Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences.

The course is entirely free, and the university aims to engage an entirely new stream of applicants. The foundation course has low entry requirements, which bids to develop the heterogeneity in UK’s world-famous educational institution.

The course follows the rigid admission process, and the pre-degree foundation course is a full-time one-year course. At the beginning of the new academic year in October 2022, there will be the first intake of 52 students.

The Director of the foundation course at Cambridge, Dr. Alex Pryce, expressed that it is a great opportunity for next-generation aspirants who would receive the Cambridge Foundation Year offer. The foundation program aims to transform the students’ lives by applying for the same. Students will get the chance to study at one of the 13 Cambridge colleges if they participate in the pilot scheme.

There are two philanthropists, Christina, and Peter Dawson, who are funding the launch of the program and the one-year scholarships for all students who will be selected for the course.
