CBSE releases class 10 board exam evaluation process, results out by June 20

The Central Board of Secondary Education, CBSE, has released a notice on its official website regarding the procedure of assessment for the Class 10 Board Exam, 2021. The notice explains the assessment procedure in which the students of Class 10 will be evaluated. The notice is available on the official website of CBSE, i.e., cbse.nic.in.

As per the notice, owing to the cancellation of the Board Examinations, the assessment of 80 marks will be carried out by the school on the basis of the marks obtained by students in various exams/ tests conducted by the school during the year. The marks should be in accordance of the past performance of the varsity in school 10 board examinations. The rest of the 20 marks for each subject will be awarded on the basis of internal assessment as every year.

According to instructions provided by CBSE, schools must form a results committee consisting of principals and seven teachers to finalize the results. Five teachers from the school should represent the subjects of Mathematics, Social Science, Science, and two languages. The rest of the two committee members should be opted externally from neighboring schools.

CBSE has further announced that the Class 10 board results will be declared by June 20, 2021. As per the notice, all schools have asked to follow strict timelines for the submission of internal assessment. This will help in compilation and declaration of the results tentatively by the third week of June, 2021.

As per the notice, schools must finalize the results by May 25 and submit them to the board by June 5. They have to ensure that the internal assessment marks (out of 20) are submitted by June 11. The board will declare the class results on June 20.
