CESSA University, a prominent private higher education institution in Mexico City, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Sommet Education, a global leader in hospitality management training, to enhance educational opportunities in the hospitality industry.
This MoU will enable CESSA students to participate in academic exchanges at prestigious institutions such as the Glion Institute of Higher Education, which has campuses in England and Switzerland, and Les Roches, with campuses in Switzerland and Spain. This will significantly strengthen their global competencies.
Founded in 1976, CESSA has become a leading business school specializing in the hospitality and food industries. From its inception, it has innovated in creating, designing, and developing programs to meet the growing needs of these sectors. Its mission is to train intellectually and ethically prepared professionals and leaders who contribute to societal well-being, impacting community development both nationally and internationally.
The agreement with Sommet Education offers CESSA students the opportunity to study abroad for a semester or a full year, enriching their education with international practices in hotel management and cultural diversity. Additionally, CESSA graduates will have access to postgraduate programs at Les Roches and Glion with partial scholarships, fostering the development of leaders in the hospitality and food industry.
This strategic alliance not only enhances the academic offerings of both institutions but also promotes the professional and personal growth of students, opening new opportunities in tourism, hospitality, gastronomy, food science, food management, and the world of events and restaurants.
Alonso Guerrero, Rector and CEO of CESSA, stated, “This collaboration with Sommet Education reinforces our commitment to preparing globally competent professionals.” Dr. Pierre Ihmle, Academic Director of Sommet Education, added, “We are delighted to partner with CESSA, sharing our commitment to educational excellence.”
Sommet Education’s global network includes five educational brands, such as École Ducasse, renowned for excellence in culinary and pastry arts; Invictus, South Africa’s leading private vocational education network; and the Indian School of Hospitality.
