Covid-19: England’s Secondary Schools makes Face Mask’s Mandatory

To tackle Covid-19 and its new variant Omicron, Government had announced that it will be compulsory for England’s secondary students to wear face masks in classrooms. The temporary move of face masks reintroduction is to tackle the various concerns of parents and students about school’s reopening for face-to-face learning in the upcoming new term.

In the meantime, six unions of school staff had issued an urgent action demand plan to reduce the virus spread among school children and staff. They gave a stern warning to government about putting national exams at risk without taking appropriate measures. They also demanded financial aid to cover absence, Ofsted inspection regime, and air-cleaning units.
