Delhi Teachers University Bill Passed

The Delhi Assembly passed a bill to set up a world-class teacher training university. Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi Government Manish Sissodia introduced the bill in the house. The bill includes the courses like BA-BEd and BSc-BEd will be taught in the university to create a new generation of teachers.

The Delhi Teachers University is going to build on 12 acres of land in Bakkarwala village. The facilities that will be there are lecture halls, digital labs, and a library with other facilities for more than 5000 students.

“If we want to invest in teachers then we will have to invest in their training. The Delhi government increased the budget of teachers training from 10 to 100 crore. Teachers and principals of government schools were sent to the best institutions such as IIMs in India and abroad for training purposes by the AAP government”, AAP MLA Atishi said.
