Amongst the memorable achievements, it has been honored with, is the most recent award, the ‘Business Excellence Award’ bestowed by Sakal Agrowon, for excellence in Agricultural Education. The Renaissance Man of Agriculture
Dr. Sanjay D. Patil, the Chairman, D. Y. Patil Education Society, Kolhapur, is a dynamic person who has been the prime mobiliser of the institution. Mr. Patil leads over thirty educational institutions including those in the field of Medical, Engineering, Polytechnic, Agricultural Engineering, Agriculture, and several Marathi and English medium schools.
Due to his dedicated efforts, the Talsande campus which sprawls across 200 acres has been converted from barren land to lush green land. His efforts are fundamental in the establishment of Drip Automation Irrigation system, plantation of Field Crops, Fruit crops, Vegetable crop, and Floriculture in the agri farm.
His initiations also include sowing and planting of Spices & Condiments Ornamentals, Forest Trees, Aromatic & Medicinal, Cash Crops, and Mother Plants.

Mr. Ruturaj S. Patil, is the MLA and Trustee of D. Y. Patil Education Society, Kolhapur. He is a techie and always strives for the development of youth through quality education and international exposure.
