Situated in Pune, Global Business School & Research Centre (GBSRC) was established in 2006. The Institute is a constituent of Dr. D. Y. Patil Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be University), Pune. Dr. D. Y. Patil Vidyapeeth was declared as a Deemed-to-be University in 2003. In the beginning, DPU had one institution under its fold. Today, there are nine prestigious institutions running successfully under it. It has created a brand name ‘DPU’ in the field of Medicine, Dentistry, Nursing, Physiotherapy, Optometry, Biotechnology, Management Including the Institute of Distance Learning, Ayurved, and Homeopathy.

Academic Programs and Teaching Methodology
GBSRC offers several career-oriented programs including BBA, MBA and Ph.D. The flagship programme of GBSRC is MBA, duly approved by AICTE with 240 Intake, offers specializations in Marketing Management, Human Resource Management, Finance Management, International Business Management, IT & System Management, Biotech & Bioinformatics Management, Pharmaceutical Management, and Hospital & Health Care Management. The syllabus is specially designed to provide hands-on learning and hone creative skills. The Institute has a Ph.D. research Centre which provides the requisite support services to activate research activities.

Accolades and Achievements
DPU has been re-accredited by NAAC with a CGPA of 3.62 on a four point scale at ‘A’ grade. In 2014, DPU recognized as Scientific and Industrial Research Organization (SIRO) by Dept. of Scientific and Industrial Research (DSIR). Under National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) 2017, conducted by Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), New Delhi, DPU has achieved rank as 47th in university category and 76th in overall category in India. Further in ranking of NIRF-2018 DPU has achieved rank as 18th in medical category, 52nd in university category and 79th in overall category in India.
Career Development Activities
GBSRC has Career Guidance and Placement Team (CGPT) who is responsible for managing the complete placement process. Several training sessions for mock group discussions, aptitude test, and mock personal interviews are regularly organized by CGP team for the students. The institute provides its students with mentoring, career counseling, and a special course on communication skills, behavioral skills, and personality development programs.
The institute also conducts Pre- Placement Talk (PPT), which provides opportunities to the students to interact with industry experts and get to know their prospective recruits better, both for the summer and final placements. Every year several large companies visit GBSRC Pune for campus placement corporate giants like, Axis Bank, Capgemini, Deloitte, Infosys, KPIT, ITC, Citibank, and more regular recruiters use to come for hiring the students of this institute.
