The Beginning of Exeed
An entity of Westford Education Group, Exeed College was originally envisioned in 2016 as an institution of higher learning and executive education, popularly known as ESBF – Exeed School of Business and Finance. ‘Lifelong learning’ and ‘Continuous professional development’ is at the heart of Exeed’s philosophy of teaching and student engagement and addresses the needs of working professionals and adult learners or those who want to resume higher education after a break.
The college is a UK-based world class management education provider that offers top rated online/part time MBA programmes, PG Diploma and Professional Certification courses in partnership with global awarding bodies and universities. Responding to the changes in the educational landscape of K -12 education sector, Exeed College expanded its horizons to include Teacher Qualification and T raining from NCFE, CACHE, UK. Last year, Exeed College also partnered with Liverpool John Moores University, UK for PG Certification in Education International, a level seven qualification in UAE, Asia and Middle East.

People Behind the Success
Mr. Samras Mayimi – Co-founder and Executive Director
Samras leads the strategic initiatives of the organization and is vested with the responsibility to steer the strategic expansion of the organisation, managing the delivery channels, marketing and business development, sustaining and growing the existing partnerships as well as developing new associations and affiliations with external partners. Samras is also responsible to drive the corporate training vertical and leads the institutional business development function. Samras possess more than 18 years of experience in BFSI and Education domain and is a management graduate with bachelors from Mangalore University and a PGDBA from University of Wales, UK.
Dr. Vivek Mohan – Associate Dean and Academic Head
Dr. Vivek leads the academic and student affairs. Dr. Vivek has several years of experience in planning, designing and delivering programs in the higher education and corporate sectors in UK, Europe, Middle East and India. Vivek had previously taken up Faculty and Researcher positions in Sheffield Business School, UK and Leeds Business School, UK and his corporate training and consulting portfolio includes firms such as PricewaterhouseCoopers, International Cricket Council and WJ Ground Water. Dr. Vivek has a PhD in Business Management and an MSc in International Business from UK and is certified in education design for higher education from Sydney (UNSW), blended learning essentials from UK (UCL-Leeds) and in Project Management from CMI, UK. He is also a certified member of British Academy of Management and served as the editorial board member of International Journal of Family Business and Management in the US.
Prof. Col (Retd.) Anil Ahluwalia – Academic Director
Prof. Anil is the Academic Director and is responsible for spearheading academic quality in planning, design and delivery of academic programs. Having served in the Indian Armed forces and retired as a Colonel, Prof. Anil is an alumnus from the prestigious St. Stephen’s College, Delhi and also an MBA graduate from the Symbiosis University in India. Having worked in India, Oman, UAE and Botswana (Southern Africa), Prof. Anil has been a driving force behind continual improvement philosophy, with intense focus towards improvement of people commitment and behavior, thereby helping business organizations and academic institutions to enhance their qualitative performances. He takes immense pride in dealing with the most important resource. The human resource and believes that people sometimes limit their own progress by building barriers with self-defeating prophecies and he enjoys assisting organizations to successfully overcome them.
Firoz Babu Thairinil – CEO, Westford Education Group
Firoz was a career banker, with more than 15 years of experience in the banking industry, having worked with multinational and local banks in Middle East and India. Prior to Westford, his last position was in the capacity of Country Head – Retail Banking Sales for a large bank in the UAE. Firoz was driven by his vision to engage in the educational transformation process by effective deployment of technology and bringing internationally accepted best practices to the industry. His passion towards fostering talents and young minds has instigated his drive to embark on an educational venture to set up a robust network of management schools across the globe and bid adieu to his banking career. Firoz holds dual MBAs, one from the University of Wales, UK (Marketing) and second from TIU, Missouri, US (Banking & Finance).
Poonam Heryani – Head of Teacher Training and Education
Poonam is an award-winning practitioner, education leader and aspiring edupreneur who has served as a teacher, vice principal, principal, curriculum and content specialist, trainer, consultant and a thought leader. She has led and conducted numerous workshops for school educators and leaders across India and Middle East. She has been a regular speaker at international events like GESS Dubai, World Education Summit, Indian Education Congress and Education Innovation Summit. A Gold Medalist with a degree in Master of Science in Education (MSED) and Research with specialization in Teacher Leadership from Richard Riley College of Education, Walden University, USA, currently her area of interest is “How leadership practices in a school can impact the learning and achievement of students”. Under her guidance and leadership, the schools she was associated were rated amongst the top 25 emerging schools in the Middle East and was also recognised for its innovative learning strategies. Currently she is the Head of Teacher Training and Education, TAITO Education Solutions which has presence in UAE and UK.
Dr Bhawana Chawla – Head of Admission
Dr Bhawana is an experienced Sales Manager with a demonstrated history of working in the hospitality industry. Skilled in consumer behaviour, food and beverage, customer insight, market research, and hospitality management. She is a strong sales professional and has graduated in marketing management. A performance-driven leader with more than eight years of experience in industry including education management, public relations, sales, marketing, teaching and administration. Bhawana is an established professional with a proven and successful track record in maintaining client relations, multi-tasking, planning and management, training and development, office management, employee engagement, written and verbal communication skills and counseling.
