Fairfield Institute of Management and Technology (FIMT), New Delhi established by ‘The Fairfield Group of Institutions’ is a leading private educational institution situated in the national capital that provides professional courses in various educational streams to its students.
The institution is affiliated to Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University. The college is known for its diversity which thrives in the campus. Major Accomplishments
The Fairfield-School of Law is the 1st affiliated college of GGS IP University to host the 31st All India Inter-University Moot-Court Competition of The Bar Council of India and Bar Council of India Trust, International Winter Residential Programme on ELIMINATION OF BONDED LABOUR SYSTEM in collaboration with National Human Rights Commission, Govt. of India and to undertake the International Residential Student’s Exchange Programme with the Kathmandu School of Law, Kathmandu, Nepal.
During the 12th International Residential School on Economic Social and Cultural Rights hosted by the Kathmandu School of Law, Nepal and FIMT, India, an FIMT law student won A++ grade and also received the ESDR Fellowship Award 2017. Many other students of the institute also scored high grades and performed exceptionally well in their participation in various programs.
Insightful Leadership
Sh. V.K.Nangalia Bhardwaj is the Founder Chairman of FAIRFIELD GROUP OF INSTITUTIONS. A visionary leader, educationist, social entrepreneur, he has been promoting the educational and entrepreneurship sectors in India for more than two decades. Sh. Bhardwaj incepted FIMT Group in 2006 with the aim of providing quality educational and entrepreneurial opportunities to the youths. He established the FAIRFIELD INSTITUTE OF MANAGEMENT & TECHNOLOGY that same year and it marked the beginning of his long and enduring tryst with education. His vision to generate a culture of educational excellence has led to the development of numerous successful educational institutions across India.
Financial Support Initiatives
Scholarship awards are made on an annual basis and do not require repayment. There are many scholarship opportunities that do not involve FIMT directly. These are considered outside scholarships. Generally, students who enter FIMT as freshmen are limited to receiving institutional scholarships as per their course duration and also on “First Come First Serve basis”. During an academic year, scholarships are generally awarded for two semesters.
Career Opportunities and Exposures
For its students the Fairfield Institute of Management & Technology has established an Entrepreneurship Cell. The Cell undertakes projects presented by the students for starting of small scale business opportunities. One such project undertaken by the students are manufacturing of pencils from the old or used newspapers and supporting the environment.
FIMT despite being a young institution has given some of best known young lawyers to the country. The alumni are working as legal associates in some of the best law firms of the country just after receiving their law degree. Faculties of other streams are also attracting lot of employment for FIMT students just after clearing their final examinations making them a popular institution in the Delhi NCR. The students have unique exposure of national and international collaborations as they are the only institution in GGSIP University to have collaboration with Kathmandu School of Law, Nepal. The students also have frequent visits to international programs. The college has also been hosting students of international residential visits at FIMT.
