Freethinking Foundation a Bengaluru-based NGO is in collaboration with Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) to improve the education of the children living in slum areas. The first Montessori School on Wheel initiative, wherein its goal is to take learning to their doorsteps.

BBMP has allocated two BMTC buses for the foundation that are customized into a classroom and will ply early morning from 9.30 am to 12 pm in the south zone. The initiative was launched last year in September by BBMP and impacted 300 marginalized children between the age group of 2.5 to 6 years.

Now, 10 BMTC buses have been allotted to the foundation, these buses are converted into a classroom set up and will operate in all the BBMP zones. The foundation will be running from the south zone and aims to remodel the buses and equip them with modern educational resources. Each bus will indulge a minimum of 50 students in batches over a period.
