World Education Congress
The ICFAI Foundation for Higher Education, a deemed-to-be University, Hyderabad is awarded as the “Best Private University” in the State of Telangana from the “World Education Congress” at an awards ceremony organized at Hotel Vivanta on 4th November 2022, where the winners of Telangana Education Leadership Awards 2022 were felicitated.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof. LS Ganesh, Vice Chancellor, ICFAI Foundation for Higher Education, stated that the University, which was established in 2008 is progressing in line with the vision of the founder late Shri N J Yasaswy. Prof. LS Ganesh further stated that the contribution of the faculty members, professional staff, alumni and students in achieving all this mile stone is laudable.
Prof J. Mahender Reddy, Distinguished Advisor, ICFAI Society was also conferred another award for “Outstanding Contribution to Education.” He thanked the jury for choosing him for the award. Dr. Reddy, while accepting the award stated that during his tenure as the founder Vice Chancellor for 18 years, at the ICFAI University, Tripura and ICFAI Foundation for Higher Education, Hyderabad his main focus was to inspire the faculty and work as a team. It is the team work or “Sanghatitha Shakti” which has enabled ICFAI Foundation for Higher Education to move from B+ in 2009 to A+ in 2015 to A++ in 2022 under his leadership.
Dr. Reddy outlined the best practices initiated by him in the University such as an innovative Ph.D program, weekly faculty seminars in every department, seed money projects to promote research by the faculty, incentives for publications, center for innovation and entrepreneurship to promote startups, exposure of faculty and students to lectures and interactions by eminent persons in the country and abroad, considerable progress on implementation of NEP including internationalization and introduction of democratic decision making process.
About ICFAI Foundation for Higher Education (IFHE): The ICFAI Foundation for Higher Education (IFHE) is Deemed-to-be University under section 3 of the UGC Act 1956. About 6,000 students are pursuing various programs in the Faculty of Management (ICFAI Business School), Faculty of Science & Technology (IcfaiTech), Faculty of Law (ICFAI Law School) and ICFAI School of Architecture.
