ICFAI University, Jaipur organizes International Symposium on “ New Trends in Internet of Things” 

IcfaiTech, a constituent of  The ICFAI University Jaipur, organized  one-day International Symposium virtually on the topic  “New Trends in Internet of Things” on 18th Nov,.2022 in association with  NASSCOM FutureSkillsPrime and IET(UK) DLN.

The Chief Guest, Prof (Dr) H P Singh, VSM, The President of  The ICFAI Univiersity Jaipur in his inaugural address enlightened about how IoT promises a way to reduce waste, costs, and inconveniences which helps us to lead a productive, environmentally cleaner, and have a better world with the quality of life.

Prof (Dr) H P Singh further said “Over the past few years, IoT has become one of the most important technologies of the 21st century. We can connect everyday objects, kitchen appliances, cars, thermostats, baby monitor to the internet via embedded devices. Seamless communication is possible between people, processes, and things. By means of low-cost computing, the cloud, big data, analytics, and mobile technologies, physical things can share and collect data with minimal human intervention.  In this hyper connected world, digital systems can record, monitor, and adjust each interaction between connected things.”

Guest of Honor Mr. Dinesh Kumar Panigrahi from NASSCOM also spoke. Another Guest of Honor Mr. Navratan Katariya, Director of Startup engagement, Innovation, and International partnerships at Centre of Excellence, Internet of Things (COE-IoT & AI), NASSCOM, Bangalore discussed the impact of startups in IoT.

Dr. Francisco Nauber Bernardo Gois, IT auditor of Ceará Government, Brazil, enlightened about the role of IoT devices in machine learning and neuroscience applications.  Another Guest of Honor Dr.S.C. Bose from IIT Jodhpur shared his research experience over new trends in IoT in today’s era. Dr. Nitin Chaturvedi from BITS Pilani, discussed the Future Applications, Research Challenges of IoT and Mr. Sameer Chouksey from ABB Bengaluru, described the impact of Federated Learning for Industrial Edge Devices for shaping the future world.

Other topics discussed  in the symposium were  the use of IoT in Agritech, Cleantech, Healthcare, Mobility/transport, Industry Automation, Smart Cities, etc.

On the occasion a separate International Panel was constituted with experts in the IoT . The symposium consisted of five sessions where experts from IIT, BITS, ABB labs, participated in the virtual session along with 500 viewers across the globe. Prof. A. K. Saini, Dean, IcfaiTech coordinated the event.
