Located in the country’s “Pink City”, Jaipur, which falls in the state of Rajasthan, IIHMR University is a leader in teaching, research, and training in the domains of public health, pharmaceutical management, health and hospital administration, and rural development. Established in 1984, the university has over thirty- five years’ experience in imparting exceptional educational facilities. IIHMR has carved a niche for itself among management institutions, both in India and abroad. It has already conducted more than 800 research projects and studies on the health, social, and developmental systems and policies in India and the wider South-East Asian region.
Outstanding Infrastructure
The university has one of the best designed and landscaped campuses in the country. It is spread across 14.37 acres of lush greenery, punctuated by wonderful buildings, tall trees, and pathways. Housing over 600 people, the campus offers world-class facilities to one and all. On May 31, 1996, it established the University Library & Documentation Center, dedicated to Dr. D. A. Henderson, renowned for his outstanding contribution to the eradication of smallpox.
The university also offers separate hostel facility for both boys and girls, wherein, the room rent is payable on an annual basis. The Computer Center is equipped with the newest servers, more than 400 latest computers, human process labs, more than 60 laser printers, videoconference facility, and technically competent software and hardware professionals. It enjoys an academic alliance with Microsoft (Dream Spark) which allows using different Microsoft packages for academics. Additionally, the center also provides statistical packages (SPSS, Stata), Microsoft Office, Microsoft visual studio, latest antivirus software, and much more.
IIHMR houses a large beautifully designed two-storied Club House, which provides facilities for indoor and outdoor games including a swimming pool, a big gymnasium, a tennis court, a badminton court, a volleyball court, table tennis, chess, and other games. It also provides facilities for outdoor plays and concerts.
Focus on Academic Excellence and Personality Development
IIHMR provides a plethora of excellent academic programs for the overall development of the students. Some of the prominent courses include MBA in Hospital and Health Management (MBA-HM); MBA in Pharmaceutical Management (MBA-PM); MBA in Rural Management (MBA-RM); Masters of Public Health (MPH); and Ph.D. The university also offers admission opportunities to foreign nationals, persons of Indian origins, and non-resident Indians.

The Dynamic President
A global academic leader with successful professional experience of over 25 years as a professor and researcher, Dr. Pankaj Gupta is the President of IIHMR. Before joining as President, IIHMR University, he was associated with O.P. Jindal Global University (Delhi NCR) as Professor and Executive Director. Helming senior leadership positions in IMT Ghaziabad, IIM Kozhikode, Symbiosis, the University of Washington, and so on, he has an extensive network with various national and international universities and organizations. Dr. Pankaj is a Ph.D., CMA, Fulbright Fellow (Washington), GCPCL (Harvard), and an alumnus of Lucknow University and IIM Ahmedabad. He is the recipient of several prestigious awards including, ‘Most Innovative Idea in Management Education Award’ by IMC, ‘Valuable Contribution to Profession Award’ by ICAI, and ‘Rashtriya Shiksha Gaurav Award’ by CEGR, and many more.
Beyond Regular Teachings
The prime focus of IIHMR is to enhance the students’ learning capacity. For this purpose, the students have committees, which help them to learn, plan, organize, implement, and evaluate important co-curricular and extra-curricular activities.
The conference committee helps students to participate in national and international conferences and enrich their experiences. The university has a sports committee, which is run by the students. It organizes annual sports meet (Spardha) and is responsible for providing and upkeep of sports infrastructure on the campus.
The cultural committee organizes various cultural events like foundation day, republic day, and so on, where students participate in activities like drama, dance, theatre workshop, festivals, etc. Moreover, the class representatives act as the interface between students, faculty, and academic administration, responsible for coordinating day to day class activities, guest lecture, and other student affairs.
The students also have a media relations committee wherein they partake in media-related activities such as the upkeep of the official website of the university, or publishing an in-house newspaper featuring their write-ups, covering events for the university, and creating videos of their life at the university.
The public speaking forum offers students a chance at improving their communication techniques. Created and operated by the students, the forum organizes inter-college and in-house competitions and sessions by experts in the field.
