The Indian Institute of Technology has allowed Afghan students to return to its campus to continue their studies. These students will join the classes from the hostel so that their studies will not be disrupted. The decision has been taken considering the ongoing crisis in Afghanistan.
The students from Afghanistan were attending the online classes from their homes. But the rapidly deteriorating conditions in Afghanistan put a question mark on their studies. As a result, the institute has asked the students to come back and join the classes.
“Although we have approved their request to come to the campus as a special case, we are not sure how late it is for them to pursue their dreams. We hope that they are all safe and can join us soon,” said the IIT Bombay Director, in a Facebook post.
