The universities like IIT- Delhi, IIT-Bombay, IIT- Kanpur and the administration of the Union Territory Ladakh have collaborated to sponsor MTech programmes and offer internship programmes to Ladakh students, and 30th June is the last date for applying for the opportunity.

Three IITs offer the following specific opportunities, i.e., short-term internships for undergraduate students, which would be for 1.5 – 2 months, and long-term internships for undergraduate students for six months.

With these internship programmes, the universities also sponsor the MTech Programmes for Ladakh students.

In short-term internship programs, there will be 30 seats available in all these three IIT institutes, 15 seats will be available for long-term internships, and ten seats will be available for MTech Programmes.

The universities launched the initiative of offering internships and sponsoring the MTech Programme to enrich the opportunities for the Ladakh students who are all currently pursuing undergraduate level courses in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics).
