First it bought Akash Institute for $1 billion earlier this year making it the biggest deal and talk of the Nation. And now, in the wake of its expansion plan EdTech leader Byju’s bought Epic: a kid’s learning platform from USA, in a cash-stock deal of $500 million.
The start-up based in Bengaluru revealed that over the next couple of years, it has an investment goal of $1 billion in North America. It had already acquired Osmo: another US based educational games maker, in 2019, for $120 million. Starting this financial year, the EdTech firm expects an annual ROI of $300 million, as per its cofounder Byju Raveendran.
