Treamis School

Treamis School was established with the aim of offering K-12 education centered on the holistic growth of children within a stress-free learning atmosphere. The curriculum design integrates essential values for children to embrace along with components fostering holistic skills.

The school nurtures tomorrow’s global citizens by instilling in children universal values such as teamwork, respect, responsibility, ethics, etiquette, empathy, and service-mindedness. Through an integrated learning environment, Treamis facilitates intellectual, social and physical development.

Cultivating Global Citizens through Diverse Education

The school’s accomplishments are attributed to the fervent commitment of its staff, who bring forth their expertise, dedication, loyalty, and diligent efforts. The collective contributions from the leadership, educators and administrative personnel to parent community have propelled the organization’s notable progress over time.

Treamis provides seamless education for both local children and children relocating to India, fostering a global learning environment. The school achieves this goal through its IB curriculum, which offers a comprehensive educational experience. After completing the IB Primary Years Programme (IB-PYP), students have the option to pursue Cambridge’s CLS programme leading to IGCSE certification. Subsequently, they may choose between Cambridge’s A Level programme or enrol in the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) based on their career aspirations.

For those inclined towards the Indian curriculum, Treamis offers CBSE education from Grade 1 through Grade 12. These diverse curricula are delivered through two schools: Treamis World School—which offers the CBSE curriculum and Treamis International School—which offers the Cambridge and IB curricula.

Treamis seamlessly integrates holistic development into its academic framework. Core values such as ethics, manners, empathy, respect, and accountability, as well as social, emotional, physical, and intellectual skills, are instilled through daily activities, starting from when students board the school bus until they return home. In addition to classroom instruction, carefully curated activities like field trips, school events and intramural activities are designed to further enhance students’ holistic skill sets.

Enhancing the Learning Pace

The Founders of Treamis hold the belief that humans naturally have a propensity to learn new skills and acquire knowledge throughout their lives. The pace of learning is influenced by an individual’s cognitive level, which is inherent and can be enhanced through encountering challenges. One of the objectives of Treamis mentors is to improve the cognitive skills in students.

Treamis’ teachers, known as mentors, play a vital role in facilitating this learning process by refining the cognitive skills of children. Beyond imparting academic knowledge, they offer guidance, support and inspiration to students.

Mentors at Treamis assist students in navigating challenges, setting goals, honing critical thinking abilities, and uncovering their strengths and passions. They serve as role models providing encouragement, empathy and constructive feedback to foster personal and academic growth. Furthermore, they offer advice on career paths, life choices and overall personal development, thereby cultivating a nurturing and supportive learning environment.

Creating a Culture of Respect

Creating a culturally inclusive environment requires a comprehensive approach. Here are some specific measures taken at Treamis schools:

  • Diverse Representation: Treamis ensures that the curriculum, teaching methods and teaching staff reflect the diversity of cultures, ethnicities and backgrounds.
  • Celebration of Diversity: Treamis organizes multicultural events, festivals and activities that celebrate the different cultures represented in the school community.
  • Inclusive Policies: The school policies are reviewed and revised to ensure they promote equity, inclusion and respect for all students and mentors regardless of their cultural background.
  • Conflict Resolution: The wholesome learning environment at Treamis does not allow any cultural conflicts. However, there are proper protocols and resources for addressing cultural conflicts or misunderstandings that may arise among students and mentors by emphasizing dialogue, understanding and mutual respect.

By implementing these measures, Treamis creates a welcoming and supportive environment where all students and mentors feel valued, respected and empowered to succeed.

Fostering Creativity and Critical Thinking

Treamis is renowned for its innovative approach to education, characterized by hands-on, project-based learning initiatives. It actively promotes experiential learning opportunities by fostering creativity, critical thinking and collaboration skills among its students.

Beginning from Grade 1, students are introduced to research methodology, gradually honing their skills in this area. By Grade 5, they embark on research-oriented projects each semester, covering a diverse range of subjects from Computer Science to Biology.

In the primary and middle school years, students engage in projects such as composting plants and developing organic gardens, thereby gaining practical experience and understanding of environmental sustainability. As they progress to high school, they undertake more ambitious projects such as implementing rain harvesting systems and solar plants on the school campus.

Moreover, students also venture beyond the campus to explore real-world issues, conducting research on topics like the impact of different types of drainage systems on the environment and identifying essential requirements for communities in nearby towns and villages. Through these initiatives, Treamis nurtures a culture of inquiry and empowers students to make meaningful contributions to society.

Building Tomorrow’s Innovators

The school implements the following hands-on, project-based learning initiatives:

  • STEM Projects: Students design and build projects related to science, technology, engineering and mathematics such as constructing robots, creating sustainable energy models, or designing and programming video games. They also work on these projects as part of their club activities.
  • Community Service Projects: Students engage in hands-on projects that address real-world issues in their local community, such as organizing food drives, environmental cleanups, or educational workshops for underprivileged children. Treamis organizes a walkathon every year commemorating the less privileged, this year it was in respect for the cancer patients.
  • Entrepreneurship Ventures: Students are encouraged to develop and execute entrepreneurial projects, such as starting small businesses, designing innovative products, or launching social enterprises to address societal challenges. An instance of this is the student-managed tuck shop on campus which provides them with insights into business operations and transactions.

A Stride Beyond Academics

Treamis prioritizes the integration of life skills into its curriculum through diverse approaches, including interactive workshops, experiential learning activities and co-curricular engagements. Recognizing the significance of these skills beyond academics, the school prepares students for success across various facets of life.

Life skills such as critical thinking, problem-solving, communication, teamwork, time management, and emotional intelligence are deemed essential for navigating the complexities of the modern world. They are vital for thriving in personal, academic and professional domains. Treamis acknowledges the importance of nurturing these skills and ensures their incorporation into the curriculum. Treamis learning system has identified twenty six activities that will help students develop thirteen holistic skills.

By instilling these skills in students, Treamis cultivates well-rounded individuals capable of facing challenges with confidence and resilience. This holistic approach ensures that students not only excel academically but also develop into competent and adaptable individuals ready to tackle the demands of the future.
