JD is ranked 12th best design school in India.

With intent to embrace ‘Change’, the theme for the Annual design awards this year is ‘Change’. Their students are aspiring to change the existing norms of negligence which have led to cause glitches with a fresh breeze of thoughts for betterment of people and environment to invest in sustainable future with responsibility. This theme motivates one to develop new ways of thinking to design better solutions, services and experiences. The goal is to promote innovation on the grounds sustainable, ethical and ecological aspects, which is a way to replenish and restore for the future generations.

JD Annual design awards 2018 was held on June 1st and 2nd at Lalit Ashok, Bangalore. The two day extravaganza included a fashion runway showcasing the final collections and an exhibition of works in the field of interiors, Jewelry and photography by the JEDIIIANS, custodians of Imagination. The event was graced by the presence of many industry experts and creative professionals from the fields of fashion/interiors/jewelry design and photography. The event was staged on two levels- an exhibition of art works by the jewelry, interiors, photography department which was conducted on both the days from 10 AM onwards at Hall of Siddaratha, Lalit Ashok. Later was the fashion show, where more than 50 phenomenal final collections were unveiled at the hall of Kalinga.
