In October 2017, a team of LPU Students were among the top 4 teams selected from India for NASA Human Exploration Rover Challenge 2018 held at U.S. Space & Rocket Center in Huntsville, Alabama, USA. About the Chancellor
Mr. Ashok Mittal is the Chancellor of LPU. He is the sole dream-merchant in casting ahead regular successes and glories not only for the university but for all the stakeholders also, be it students, staff members, parents or other allied ones. He is driven by the vision and strong belief to transform the way education is delivered in India, and to pay back more to the society than received through it. After entering the education sector in the year 2001, Mr. Mittal realized that as an affiliated college there were numerous limitations to the revolutionary thought he imbibed, and opened a private university ‘LPU’ for imparting the quality education the way it ought to be delivered. Within a small span of its existence, LPU has established tie-ups with 200+ international universities of the USA, UK, Australia, Canada, Singapore, Spain, Switzerland, South Korea, Vietnam, Brazil, Poland, Ghana, and many more.

Financial Assistance
Intending to give financial help to meritorious and well-deserving students seeking higher education, LPU introduced the university’s own scholarship test – LPUNEST in 2010. In addition to the scholarship test, university offers scholarships on the basis of sports, cultural, social service, R&D, co-curricular, and bravery. Students who have scored exceptionally well in class 10th or class 12th board can also avail up to 100% scholarship for course of their choice. In 2018, the university has offered scholarships up to Rs 7.5 lac per student.
