Maharashtra state government has prioritized vaccination for the school staff from September first. It will include all the professionals including teachers, administrators, clerks, drivers, and other faculty members of government schools as well as private schools. There is no need to book slots on CoWin, the staff can walk in and show their ID cards to get the priority dose.

However, it will take more than a month to cover all the school staff. Sanjay Deshmukh, Assistant Director of State Health Services said, “We are seeking the education department’s help so that every teacher and non-teaching staff will get fully vaccinated.”
