As declared by the Maharashtra state government earlier last month, physical classes in schools would resume across the state from today. Due to the rampant Covid-19 issue in Maharashtra, schools have been closed. Previously, schools only held physical education classes in areas where COVID-19 cases were relatively low.

Physical education classes for grades one through seven in urban areas and grades one through four in rural areas will not resume until further notice. “All the institutions in rural regions will resume physical classes for grades 5th to 12th,” said school education minister Varsha Gaikwad earlier.
