The report also emphasized the close-knit community within the school, where staff, pupils, and parents work collaboratively.

Parents echoed this sentiment, with one commenting in Ofsted’s survey: “Staff genuinely care and make every effort to put parent and child worries at ease.” Inspectors found pupils to be polite and welcoming, with students speaking highly of the friendships formed during their time at Aylestone.

The school’s curriculum was praised for being ambitious and well-structured, ensuring students, including those with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), have a clear learning path. Inspectors noted that the curriculum logically builds over time, providing students with a solid foundation of knowledge across subjects. Of particular note were the strong performances in mathematics and history, as well as the well-planned careers programme, which helps prepare students for their future endeavors.
