On the 17th and 18th of April, IIT Madras held the Industry Conclave 2021 to encourage industry-academic cooperation and establish methods for generating new ideas for productive collaborations.

This will become a yearly occurrence. According to a press release, the event included members from different government departments as well as multinational corporations.

This project, which is being organised by the Corporate Relations Cell of the International and Alumni Relations Student Council, IIT Madras, aims to highlight the Institute’s cutting-edge science, creativity, and start-up culture.

Technical exhibits were also hosted at the event. The Conclave platform hosted both of these initiatives. The exhibits were conducted in partnership with various IIT Madras ecosystem bodies, such as the Centre For Innovation, Nirmaan, Healthcare Technology Innovation Cell, and IIT Madras Incubation Cell.

Exhibition of Technical Equipment

The conclave included a lecture series with panel discussions on subjects such as renewable energy, healthcare, cyber security, and defence innovation. On the two days of the gathering, prominent figures in these fields delivered a mutitude of informative and insightful lectures.

According to the press release, the whole event is free and open to the public.
