Parents in Toronto Have Until Midnight Tonight to Enrol Their Children in Online Learning for the Coming School Year

Parents in Toronto have until midnight tonight to determine whether their child will attend school in person or online next year.

Parents who want their child to attend school remotely must fill out a form by Monday at 11:59 p.m., according to a letter received by the Toronto District School Board (TDSB). And the parents who want their children to go to school in person don’t have to do anything.

The TDSB has emphasised that whichever decision parents make; it will be permanent. Once the deadline has gone, there will be no way to transition between in-person and virtual learning.

The early deadline exists, according to TDSB spokesperson Ryan Bird, to ensure the board has adequate time to fill positions.
