Governor of Pennsylvania Tom Wolf announced statewide mask requirements in all schools. Masks will be required for students, teachers, other staff, and visitors in public and private schools. It will also include early learning programs and childcare centers in Pennsylvania. The mandate was imposed by the order of Alison Beam, acting secretary of health.
Pennsylvania is doing better than many other states during the ongoing wave. However, there is a significant rise in Covid-19 cases in the state. Mr. Wolf said, “Protecting people in schools is crucial and keeping students safe is the main priority.”
