Mumbai/Bagdogra, December 14th 2017: The Prahlad Kakar School of Branding and Entrepreneurship (PKSBE) organized a mountaineering activity for the students which was hosted by the renowned mountaineer and sherpa, Jamling Tenzing Norgay as a part of its inimitable character building programme cirriculum.
The school, which aims at delivering professionals who are equipped with classroom education as well asadequate real-life experiences, has always delivered knowledge through unique and innovative ways. Out of the box character building programmes have always been PKSBE’s unique approach while disseminating knowledge.Earlier, this school has honed the skills of budding entrepreneurs with all kinds of extreme situations through Deep Sea Diving, Skydiving, Survival Boot Camp, etc.
The activity was scheduled between 10th December 2017 – 16th December 2017 commenced from Bagdogra. Jamling and the students of Prahlad Kakar School of Branding and Entrepreneurship took the picturesque route of Darjeeling, Dhotray, Tumling, Kalapokhari, Sandakphu and ended the camp at Sri Kohla.
Commenting on this Pratish Nair, Founder & Managing Director, and PKSBE said, “The reason we love the mountains is that there are no rules. Business life, like climbing, is also a journey. You have goals, targets to achieve and a team to execute it. Similarly, when you climb Mt. Everest or any other mountain, you plan, strategize, form a team and execute the plan. You need to have (individual) skills; knowledge and then you must work together as a team. Teamwork is a key factor in achieving any goal, whether it is business, personal, or climbing a mountain. That is why PKSBE has collaborated with Jamling Norgay to let the students experience this no rules-attached journey.”
Jamling Tenzing Norgay climbed Everest in 1996. Jamling, son of famous mountaineer Sherpa Tenzing Norgay, who scaled Mount Everest in 1953, is the nucleus of PKSBE’s Mountaineering programme and is very excited to get associated with this one of a kind initiative. Speaking about the activity, Jamling Tenzing Norgay mentioned, “Mountaineering has always been the retreat of the wise people of this country for thousands of years. They have inscribed on the rocks and the snows the collective knowledge and the wisdom of this country and the biggest life lesson…adapting to change. It is really exciting to get associated with PKSBE and teach budding entrepreneurs life-lessons through mountaineering.”
The very essence of this program had been custom-made to be a distinct character-building program for the students. This program aimed to enable the participants to return home as a stronger and a more resilient individual. The students were able to discover increased self-confidence, improved leadership and a desire to make a difference. The learning was so deeply ingrained in the students that henceforth they will never take the path of compromise and emerge as winners!
