REVA University was started with the motto, “Knowledge is power”. In this direction, the university’s School of Management Studies leverages with technology in providing most contemporary knowledge and skills to students. They follow outcome based learning. Their coursework is designed to suit the learning needs of the student, the current trends in the field and what is needed in the industry. The university offers a plethora of courses including Management, Arts & Humanities, Engineering, Sciences, and Performing Arts.

Along with these, the university also has an exclusive Executive Management Course, specifically designed for students aiming at corporate exposure and honing their entrepreneurial skills, called RACE (REVA Academy for Corporate Excellence). About the Chancellor

The singular vision of Dr. P. Shyama Raju, Honorable Chancellor, REVA University, began this longstanding journey with the institute, almost half a decade ago. He spent his most documented years as a businessman to finally realize his dream of making an acropolis of learning. Since its birth, he has dedicated his time to completely watching over the University and being part of its all minute detail and decision. Dr. P. Shyama has taken the academic and research onus upon him and constantly supported and encouraged the academic heads of the University to take up challenges new in the field. He progressively put the educational entity on the global map.

Promoting Entrepreneurship

The School of Management Studies has excellent physical and intellectual infrastructure facilities. All classrooms in the School are digitally enhanced. The school has experienced faculty members and a good number of them have industrial experience. The school uses case method of instruction extensively in all management courses. In direction of providing students a hands-on and real life experiences in management learning, the school organizes seminars, workshops, industrial visits, and guest lectures from eminent persons from industry. The school has introduced skill development certification programs in each semester with strong focus on developing managerial skills among students and make them job ready.

Remarkable Accomplishments

Throughout its illustrious journey, REVA has achieved many remarkable landmarks. From the very moment of its inception, REVA was recognized as the fastest growing technical institute in Karnataka. It was accorded Private University status within 10 years of its inception in 2012. REVA was listed as the third best Bio-Tech School in Karnataka in 2012 as per the analysis of Bio- Spectrum, an integrated B2B media platform for the healthcare and bioscience industry in the Asia Pacific region.

REVA University was presented with the Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan National Award for their Engineering College recording the best overall performance in 2012. This achievement came along with NBA accreditation in a record period of 6 years for all Engineering Programs.

In 2013, REVA occupied the 9th position among 198 affiliated colleges of VTU in sports activities.

REVA constantly collaborates with reputed international universities for varied student and faculty programs. They offer everything; study tours, exchange programs, simulations, course designing, and tutoring from Oxford and Cambridge alumni. REVA boasts of one of the best International Internship Programs in the country with tie ups with the best in the world.

Research ventures that can take place on a worldwide platform with the involvement of different countries and cultural entities will open up discourse in fields that was first planted here in the University.

REVA has successfully collaborated with various global universities. These universities include Lakehead University, Ontario, Canada; Georgian College, Canada; RWTH AACHEN, Germany; and so on. It also provides summer program at IQS Barcelona; CAEP partnership with Arkansas University, USA; and study tours to Paris and Singapore.

REVA has hosted many distinguished international universities and educational fraternity personalities for talks, seminars, and discussions on campus to enhance learning and consolidate subject matter understanding. The University’s Internal Training and Placement Cell, is a precursor to launching many a career of the student who take up different courses.

There are weekly FDPs (Faculty Development Programs) conducted with prominent speakers and guests participating to enable continuous learning and development for in-house faculty covering a wide variety of topics.
