Since its inception in 2019, the School of Pharmacy at Sangam University has faced numerous challenges. However, under the leadership of Mr Praveen Kumar Soni, the Head of the School of Pharmacy, with his team, the institute has established itself as a premier institution for pharmaceutical education and research in the region.
The institute has established fruitful collaborations with various esteemed institutes and pharmaceutical industries in India to harness the professional skills of clinical pharmacists. The team has the zeal to build and develop relations with key players in the pharmaceutical fraternity and translate them into mature collaborations for the benefit of the students and the institution.
Leveraging Holistic Approach
The School of Pharmacy at Sangam University offers students a range of programs and activities to enhance their skills and prepare them for a successful career in the field of pharmaceutical sciences. It began by offering D-pharmacy and B-pharmacy courses, each with 60 seats, approved by the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI), which provide students with a strong foundation in the field of pharmacy and prepare them for pursuing post-graduation degrees such as M.S. (Pharm) or M.Pharm. at premier autonomous institutions like NIPERs, ICT, and BITS. Recently, it began offering a PhD in pharmacy course under the esteemed guidance of the Honourable President, Prof. Dr Karunesh Saxena.
To ensure that students are well-prepared for their future careers, the institute regularly invites industry-leading speakers and professionals to campus for seminars under the guidance of Prof. Dr Rajeev Mehta, Registrar, Sangam University, Bhilwara. Some key events are: –
- The institute hosted the “International Conference on Analytical & Interdisciplinary Research” in 2022.
- In 2020, the institute organised one health check-up camp in Gathila Kheda village in Bhilwara, which was a huge success. The students gained knowledge on the actual practice and importance of pharmacy in society and also served the local community. With such an event institute tries to foster a serving attitude in the students towards society.
- Every year, World Pharmacist Day School of Pharmacy organises free medical check-ups on its campus and in surrounding areas of the University.

Comprehensive Strategy for Learning
At the School of Pharmacy, the faculty is dedicated to the holistic development of diploma and graduate students, equipping them with the skills and knowledge necessary to tackle healthcare challenges in India and beyond. To provide students with exposure to the latest industry knowledge and ready them for future challenges, the institute regularly organises international and national conferences focusing on the frontier areas of research like cancer, neurodegenerative and lifestyle diseases that are in line with the goals of Government bodies like ICMR and CSIR.
To prepare students for the competitive industry, the institute has organised activities like ‘Corporate required soft skills,’ ‘Placement Sensitization Workshop,’ and ‘Placement Readiness Program.’ To harness the entrepreneurial mindset of the students, the School of Pharmacy engage and encourage the students to participate in learning and training modules devised by the Centre for Entrepreneurship and Skill Development existing on the University campus. The centre is enabled with all the expert faculties and the latest resources that are required to learn the basics of entrepreneurship and help students to explore their ideas, apply for funding and kick-start their own enterprises.
The institute envisions future endeavours that equip students with cutting-edge knowledge and practical skills. To achieve this, the institute is planning to collaborate with private Edtech companies to offer affordable online modules in areas like machine learning, artificial intelligence, industrial automation, and data science. The School of Pharmacy also intends to prepare students for national exposure through hands-on practical training sessions and skill development programs in collaboration with premier institutions like NIPER and CSIR.
