The World Health Organization and UNICEF have demanded that the schools across Europe must stay open and should be safer for the teachers as well as students. The two organizations said the teachers and other staff along with the students above 12 years, should be vaccinated primarily.
They also recommended to improve the classroom ventilation, minimizing number of students to maintain physical distancing, and regular testing of staff. The Head of WHO’s Europe region, Hans Klunge said, “The Covid-19 pandemic has caused the most disastrous disruption to education in the history. It is crucial that classroom-based education continues uninterrupted.”
