Senate Approves a New Bill to Restitute the Educational Gap Caused by the Pandemic
Educational Gap

The senate approved bill has a special provision for students, either to carry on the same grade or to progress to the next grade.

As of now, the school-teachers or the school itself were deciding whether to promote the student or not. The bill also allows parents to extend enrollment in special education programs for an extra year.

The deadline for parents to choose one of the options is July 15, 2021. Gov. Tom Wolf has the ball in his court as the bill was passed to him. The Arc of Pennsylvania is already in the favor of the bill.
